El nytimes.com reporta que las cadenas de noticias de TV por cable han visto aumentos sumamente considerables en su audiencia con respecto a la Convención Demócrata de 2004.
"CNN, Fox News and MSNBC were watched by an average of 8.9 million viewers on Monday night, the first night of the convention, compared with an average of 4.8 million viewers for the first night of the Democratic convention in 2004".
